Bargain Hunter

While I was running errands this weekend I decided to treat myself to a pedicure.  As I left the salon I noticed a consignment shop next door.  Since I needed a new pair of jeans and was feeling cheap, I thought I'd take a look.  I left the store an hour and a big bag of clothes later.

This was my first experience consignment shopping but I don't think it will be my last.  For $150 I came home with:

  • A pair of Michael Kors Jeans
  • A wrap dress
  • A cute blue dress
  • A shirt I tried on in Macy's a few months ago (with the tags still attached)
  • A pair of Ann Taylor slacks
  • A Michale Kors shirt
  • A pair of shoes
Have you ever bought clothes in a consignment shop?  Any favorite shops or tips on how to find the best stuff?

In honor of my two cute new dresses here is a little Rosie Thomas - love her.

Oh I love consignment shops! Although you typically need a lot of time to look...which I rarely have! I think it's a good time of year for that because everyone is Spring cleaning. Congrats on your great finds!

wow, you got some great things! i'm not a good consignment shopper for clothes, but i do love vintage cashmere sweaters when i can find them in my size and bags.

Score! I hit consignment sales for kids clothes all the time since they wear their clothes for such a short time before growing out of them.
One of my favorite skirts is from a consignment store in Sugarhouse. I have no problem with used items- I feel like I'm helping out Mother Earth and my pocket book at the same time.
