Back in the Groove

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving full of yummy pumpkin pie!

Mine didn't go quite as planned - that unplugged week I had in mind?  Turns out I spent much of the week plugged in for a work project that just will not end.  But I was still able to spend some good time with my parents and even managed to see the newest Harry Potter (loved it!)

With Thanksgiving behind us, my thoughts have started turning towards Christmas.  My list is made and I'm ready to start decorating and shopping - I avoided Black Friday - but did find some great deals online over the weekend.  Did you brave the stores this weekend?  Were you successful?  This may finally be the year where I do all of my shopping online - hitting the malls or any other store this time of year tries my patience.

I'm still struggling to get back into the groove today, don't know what happened to my motivation, but this song is helping me get there, doesn't it make you smile.  Ellie Goulding, "Your Song"

I am with you in completely avoiding Black Friday! Online shopping is so much easier for me, and I find it takes far less time. I am sorry your "unplug" did not go as planned. It's an exciting, but tough time of year. I was successful in unplugging, but may have unplugged a bit too much, because I am now swamped this week :-)

No Black Friday shopping here, but I did do a bit online. I finished all my shopping for the folks in CA and its all wrapped and under their tree. Just a bit more to do at home when we get back.

Sorry you had to work!

So nice to have you back, and I have been listening to this song, it started off as an advert for John Lewis a department store here in the UK who asked Ellie to do a song for their Christmas advert and it was so good she decided to release it. Glad about that as it is a good one, but then Ellie is fantastic.

I love Black Friday! I don't love the crowds and I am not out for the big amazing deals, but I do love to just watch people and see the crazies out there fighting for what they want. I am glad you are back. I am sorry your holiday didn't go as expected, but I hope you still enjoyed it.

I shopped on Black Friday from my bed...I don't like waking up super early and I heard that two women got in a fist fight over a toy at my local Walmart. It's just not worth it, in my opinion.

Happy start of the holiday season to you!

Welcome back Jamie! You were missed, and I love the new look here, very nice. I've only my mother and a few friends to gift this year, and I'm hoping to give something handmade - hopefully by me!
Glad you're back.
