Dancing Feet

Note:  I'm having problems with my google account - first all the blogs I subscribe to disappeared, once I got that fixed I discovered I can't comment.  I'm doing my best to keep up with all of you - even if you aren't getting comments from me.

It has been a while since I participated in any sort of photo challenge, so when I saw Kat's Process of Elimination, challenge last week I knew it was time to give it another try.

Maggie Studies her feet
A few weeks ago I went to my niece's dance class - it was the final class for the summer so families were invited to see what the girls had learned.  In one portion of the class the girls showed off their ballet positions.

For my process of elimination photos I decided to focus in on her feet and the adjustments she made as she tried to find first position - which are similar to the adjustments I make as I experiment with photography and photo editing (I also decided to experiment with some of Kim Klassen's textures on these photos.)  Sometimes it works and sometimes it isn't quite right.  But I think bot Miss M and would both agree that most of the fun comes from the attempt.

I'm going to go with the obvious song choice here:
Elton John - Tiny Dancer Pin It

Love it!

I love the feet but I think they'd be better without the texture so they are nice and sharp. Hope you don't mind me giving an opinion :-)

Those are the sweetest little ballerina feet. Good on you both for trying something new.
I like the texture you used.

Such a sweet photo subject! :) I love playing with different textures and effects. It's amazing how many different "feels" you can get with just a few clicks!

As for the blog trouble, I recently had a problem with being able to leave comments! There was about a month where I would type something into a comment box...and then it would continue to ask me to sign in...over and over. I discovered the culprit: It was the "always keep me logged in" box when you sign on to blogger. When I keep that UNchecked, I was problem-free!

Maybe that will help...but if not, i hope you find the culprit soon!! :)

These are so adorable! Even though you focused in just on her feet, you can still feel her determination in getting the position just right.
