Morning Dew

Dew 1

A few weeks ago I read a post from Courtney where she shared some of the beautiful photos she captured in her yard, she wondered what her neighbors must have thought of her rolling around in the grass to get the shots she was after.

Dew 2
Just as I finished reading I stepped outside to pick up my mail. As I walked to the mailbox, I glanced down and noticed a spiderweb in the grass that was still full of the morning dew. With Courtney's adventures fresh in my mind, I decided to grab my camera and see if I could entertain my neighbors and get a photo that captured the beauty of that morning.

Dew 3

When was the last time you rolled around in your front yard to capture a photo?

One of my very favorite songs is "Light of a Clear Blue Morning." It was written and originally recorded by Dolly Parton, but in my mind this Allison Moorer cover is pure perfection and the song I turn to when I need to remember that each new morning brings a fresh start and a chance to keep improving.

Fabulous photos Jamie. They're like diamonds caught in a hair net. Wonderful!

Looks beautiful, like glass pearls. :-)

Hm... it´s been a while since I´ve been rolling around in the grass - might me time to do that again before my neighbours begins to believe I´m normal..! :-D

I'm quite often to be found crawling in the garden but nobody sees me! These are beautiful shots of the bejewelled web.

I completely agree with Tinajo about the glass pearls. May I have a few set in yellow gold please?

Aw...the hell with the neighbors. They think I'm nuts anyway, until they want their mail picked up when they're away on vacation.
Amazing photos. Totally worth the contortions you must have made to get the images!!

love your captures of the spiderwebs. i don't have a front yard, but one time i was taking photos around our neighborhood during a snowstorm and someone wanted to know what i was doing. freezing is what i should have said!

Actually, I was out "rolling around" in the yard just last week after a rainy morning. Like you, I was captivated by drops in a spider's web and like your photos, they turned out great! Love this subject! As for the neighbors, well... they can barely see me through the trees and frankly, I don't care what they think of me and my camera :)

I do it all the time!
Luckily my neighbors are used to it, but the occasional passers by, not so much!
These are really beautiful photographs Jamie!
Have a great week ahead!

Haha!
I'm sure my neighbors find lots of the things I do entertaining, however, rolling around in the grass is not one of them :)
You my dear, should do it more often if it means capturing amazing pictures like these!

What lovely photos you captured, so worth a roll in the grass.
It's been a while since I've done that around my house, guess it's time. :)

I always wonder what people think when we are wandering around outside with a camera and tripod. Or tonight when we were stomping down mole hills in our front yard. :P Great pictures!

can't say that I've ever rolled around in my yard...mostly for fear of rolling in a spiders web! Haha, but I do love early morning best time of day if you ask me.

Amazing photos... I don't have a yard, but I've done worse than that, I've rolled in public. And photography is not even my thing. Well, I always dream about taking that photography course and buying that camera, but it is not very high priority on my wish list, so it never gets done.
