Inside the Sofia

Hagia Sofia 5
I only got 4 photos inside the Hagia Sofia before the battery on my camera died. I somehow managed to leave the charger in the US - lesson to self, ALWAYS check the bag for the camera charger before going on a trip.

Hagia Sofia 6
I can't wait to go back and get another go at taking photos here - there are so many shots I wanted to try.

Hagia Sofia 3
I'm kind of obsessed with the way the hanging lights look like halo's hovering over the heads of the people inside, so cool.

Hagia Sofia 4
When was the last time you got somewhere with a dead camera battery? Or is it just me that those kind of things happen to?

For my dead battery, here is Bobby Long's "Dead and Gone." Pin It

OMG, Jamie. Am freaking out! I've wanted to see Sofia for years and I'm so excited that you've stepped inside! :) It's beautiful.

As for dead camera battery...when I went to look at our wedding location. It died just moments after getting there. Waahh-wahhh. I should learn to keep a back up with me, but I'm always the optimist with, "Oh, this lasts FOREVER! That wouldn't happen..."

Yeah right. ;)

Impressive! That place looks amazing.

We always triple check for the charger now. I think we've learned out lesson many times before.

If these quick pics are with a dying camera battery, I can't wait to see what you capture fully charged.
Cheers!

the work is astonishing. wow, so much detail. my camera battery died recently, but i wasn't anyplace as beautiful. sometimes, you can get a few more photos by turning the camera off, removing the battery and putting it back in.

Absolutely amazing!

That's something you only do once eh? Leaving the battery that is... Although I seem to be forgetting to put a memory stick into my cameras! Beautiful photos.

First of all, WOW! Beautiful! But second...so sorry about your camera battery! That stinks! Are you going to have someone send it to you? I have deep irrational fears...yes fears...about stuff like that happening to me!

Beautiful pictures! My problem always is, I get somewhere and realize I forgot to even grab my camera. So you're one step ahead of me!

I was always fond of using the Turkish spellings for such things...the Aya Sofya, I believe?

I have a dead camera battery on my point-and-shoot everytime I need to make a video. Annoying.
