St Thomas

St Thomas20111118_0435 WM
Our last stop on the cruise was St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands and I couldn't think of a better way to end the vacation. I'll admit I've even done a bit of research since I got home to confirm that I could legally work there someday without doing a bunch of paperwork and getting a work permit - it was that GOOD.

We found a perfect snorkeling beach - so perfect that I could walk out in water to the tops of my legs and be swarmed by fish. The water was crystal clear perfection.

As a bonus for me there was patches of shade on the beach, which since I'd run out of sunscreen that morning was just what the doctor ordered.

All this sand and water has me thinking of Beth Nielsen Chapman's song Sand and Water. Pin It

US Virgin Islands.....are you sure you can't work there?
I have been several time to the USVI and this is a perfect reminder. I love that shot of the fish in the rippled water. Looking at these images warms me right up. Happy day to you Jamie.

These beach photos are so making me wish for another vacation at the beach. For years we went every spring, but now that our kids are so far away, our vacation dollars go elsewhere.

When I have some time, I'll have to look back through these cruise photos. You're making me want to go back on my honeymoon. We went to St. Marteen and those beautiful blue waters are calling me.

Oh! I must add this to my places-to-see. Is it possible that such a place really exists?

I don't understand how you get so many amazing pictures without other tourists in them. I would think you were absolutely the only person there. I am not quite sure how I would feel about fishing swarming my legs. I have a really hard time with sea creatures, but you sure captured some beautiful fish!
