Spring Blossoms

2012.03 St George Spring Blossoms (1 of 21)
On my last day of vacation here, I looked out and realized the tree in my back yard was blooming. I grabbed my camera and started shooting. Is there anything that beats that first glimpse of spring?

Last week the trees started blooming in Istanbul as well - I'm enjoying experiencing the early stages of spring twice in one year. The world just feels more hopeful when the days are longer, people come out of hibernation and the flowers start blooming.

Has spring arrived in your neighborhood yet?

Like the spring flowers, this song brightens my day. Elizaveta - Dreamer.

Three trees are blooming here too. We've been singing Popcorn Popping on the Apricot tree a lot lately! :)

Love them, especially the one with the bee. What a sweet kiss you captured. I agree that nothing beats that first blooming of spring. It's started for us too (although we got a bit of a scare last week - snow and hail!).

Spring is slowing poking her way through here. The beginnings of flowers are poking through soil and buds are listening to the encouraging whispers saying "grow".

Ooh, I love these pictures! Your blossoms are gorgeous! That is so exciting you get to experience spring both here and in Istanbul! Our blossoms came out last week as well but the frost got them before I could get pictures :(

Cherry blossoms are by far my most favorite flower. I love the color and texture of them. I would love to frame that second photo.

Just gorgeous photos! We just came back from Washington, D.C. but the cherry trees blossomed very early this year and the blossoms were gone. The azaleas, however, almost made up for it.
