Soaring and Goalsetting

The mountain I live on is the hub for para gliding in the the Salt Lake Valley. I'm not brave enough to think seriously about giving it a try, but I do love watching those who are. I can't help but think it must be incredibly peaceful up there.

I'm celebrating one of those birthdays that end with a 9 today and decided it may be time to set some new goals, so I pulled out these photos to remind to dream big. When was the last time you sat down and made a bucket list? What were some of the things on it? So far, too many of my items seem to involve travel and house projects - I think I need a bit more variety.

Because I'm not feeling particularly young today, I'm hoping listening to Fun.'s We Are Young will help me pretend for 3 minutes that I'm younger than I feel. Pin It

Happy birthday!! Hope it's a good one!

I've been pondering goals lately. I've noticed as I've gotten older it takes a little more effort to set goals.

Good song choice! ;)

Happy Birthday Jamie. And don't forget - however old you are there's someone else who's older :-)

Happy Birthday!!
I had a "0" birthday this year and the goals set were pretty big for me. Refocus, reenergize and savour every second. That's what was on my mind while going through it.

Happy birthday!!! The best age is always the one we're in. Think of all that you've learned and grown, and yet there's still time to do more. :)

Happy Birthday!!!! Hope it's super and you'll stay young at heart.
My husband is looking at a very early retirement next year, so we've been talking about some big changes....moving, traveling, re-visiting some of the fun places we did in our early married years. So excited for the future!

I have often seen these "thrill seekers" and wondered if I would ever do it. The answer is still firmly in the "No" column. You are amazing Jam--no matter your age. But keep shooting for those goals! Hope you have had a great day!

A very Happy Birthday to you, Jamie!!

I am with you in not being brave enough to try this, but I sure would love to be able to. It must be an amazing feeling up there. A beautiful place to just be.

Happy birthday. Never actually wrote a bucket list but I have one in my head I once thought of doing 50 things before 50 but never started it now it's getting pretty close to that time and really I think I am having the time of my life at this age

I thought that might be you up there in the sky! I keep thinking I should make a bucket list as I turn 50 next year but then you end up feeling bad about your self if you don't do them, better to live in the moment!

Happy birthday Jamie! You've accomplished much more in your short life than other people complete in a lifetime. I'm completely amazed at some of the things you have done! I'm excited to see where the next chapter of your life leads you.
