I've been feeling a bit lonely during my commute this week. Usually I share the car with co-workers but they have been out of town. This morning I grabbed my iPod on the way out the door for a little company. I hit shuffle and ended up with the perfect playlist for the ride.
Listening to music and riding through the city made me see things differently. I noticed the rhythm of Delhi - people seemed to be walking along to the song in my ear, the trees seemed greener, and without the constant sound of traffic and horns, Delhi seem more beautiful. Even with a substitute drive behind the wheel I arrived at work much more relaxed and ready to take on the day.

Head Over Heels - Tears for Fears
Cigarettes and Chocolate Milk - Rufus Wainwright
Hot Knives - Bright Eyes
Way Beyond the Blue - Eva Cassidy
Star Mile - Joshua Radin
Swept Away - Nellie McKay
They Ran - My Morning Jacket
Candlelight - Imogen Heap

It's got to be lonely knowing just how far you are from "home". Music helps me in the same ways... I have been finding lots of great music from your blog, so thanks! Hope the loneliness doesn't last long.
After the email video you sent, I don't know how you could commute anywhere in India and be relaxed. :)
