It was glorious here this weekend - sunny skies and warmer than normal temperatures. I ended up with a touch of spring fever and got a head start on my spring cleaning. Thanks to my spurt of ambition, all the closets in the house are now cleaned and organized; I finished the cd/dvd project that I've been working on for months (all alphabetized and out of the cases into sleeves to reduce the space they were taking up); and best of all, with the painting and the tile complete in my master I moved out of the guest bedroom and back into my own bed (heaven!) It is safe to say that I'm starting the week out on the right foot.
What did you do this weekend? And any fun plans for Valentines? I spent the day working, running errands and listening to The Avett Brothers (basically ignoring the fact it was a holiday.)
Now for a little business, the lovely Maureen was the winner of the CSN giveaway - congratulations!
While I was cleaning I threw open the windows to let the fresh air in - it was gorgeous. In honor of a day warm enough to get away with that, here is a little Amos Lee with ""Windows are Rolled Down."

Wow...gorgeous! And, isn't that an great song? Praise God for this amazing weather.
That is one of the best moves a girl can ask for. Happy week to you. Cheers!
Wow, I can't believe how much you got accomplished over the weekend. You must feel like superwoman! And thank goodness for a bit of warm weather,no? It warmed up here too, and the sun was shining so bright and warm. I'll have to give that song a listen when I get home tonight.
And how cool is that? I won a giveaway!
Woot! Thanks so much Jamie. :)

YAY Maureen!
Great song...does give me a bit of spring fever. I actually got into the nitty gritty cleaning last night and it was wonderful waking up to a spic and span house today. Hope you are having a wonderful Valentine's day!
Want my address? I haven't gotten that spurt of energy yet, though our temps have been wonderful the last couple of days. My house sure could use a good spring cleaning... ;) Perfect song for opening the windows.
Wow--it sounds like spring fever hit your house early. We are still snuggled in winter here, but today was over 35 so I HAD to have the moonroof open :) I am itching for the day when I can open the patio door and let the fresh air stream in...
Thanks to my sweetie, I now am obsessed with the Avett Brothers. Chad bought their album yesterday after the Grammys (did you watch? Amazing performance!) were on and I have been listening to them ever since. Am very pleased they are now in my life. Do tell me your thoughts, is the first song on a commercial or movie track? I've been racking my brain thinking about it, but I can't seem to place where I've heard that song before.
Oh, and once again, am jealous of where you live :) Happy Monday, J!
Hurry to Maureen!
We did some DIY stuff around the house, cleared out some things and hauled them to the Restore and Rescue Mission. I like when things get done. Must have been the good weather :)
I've also been bitten by the Spring bug after a few days of not so cold weather. I hope you had a lovely Valentine's Day!
xx
congrats Maureen and what a wonderful tune to hear as I look at these mountains still covered in snow..but spring in the air~
Gosh, Jamie, you are efficient! You have achieved so much this year and it's still only February!
That must have felt great, I love when things are neat and organized. Boy, do I need to do some of that around here!
I did that too this weekend and i even cleaned my windows! :)
Hey Jamie....that's a gorgeous shot you posted. While I'm not a huge fan of spring cleaning, I do love clean things and feel so good with a clean house, car, clothes, sheets....or even after a nice shower.
Glad your weather is turning. Rumor is the weather terrorists are predicting a day in the 40's tomorrow. Melt snow melt.
What did I do this weekend? Worked on HW for the photoshop class I'm taking at the local community college. 8 hours on a HW project is too damn much. HOpefully a learning curve was conquered.
Have a great day.
I am in love with your view... Can you come and do my closets next?
it's still pretty cold here in nyc, but i got out to texas for a long weekend where it was 70 degrees. so nice.
ahhh...that mountain scene is glorious.
Love the capture! It really makes me miss the western mountains. Our family spent so much time hiking in the MT, ID, and WY peaks. A glorious time. Beautiful tune to write by.
Do you hire out for spring cleaning????
Sounds like a wonderful weekend Jamie!
Love this photograph!
after all that spring cleaning and renovations done, i wanna visit sometime!
