Proving that the internet is full of generous and amazing people, I discovered the group at Bigger Picture Blogs (of which Sarah is a member) is already putting together an auction to raise money for the Salvation Army to help the residents of Joplin.
I'm planning on donating some silk pillow covers I bought in Thailand last year and am planning to help support the auction by bidding. If you are interested in participating, get more information here.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Sarah and everyone impacted by this storm and the others that have caused havoc around the world.

My Prayers and Hope with with all that have lost loved ones and homes.
In Alberta where I live thousands were evacuated last week to shelters with in miles of me because of wildfires. They have no home . More and more have to leave that area. So many gave , still give and give to the Red Cross to help all these people who will not have a home to go too. Life is so hard sometime for so many never mind the one affected by all of this.
Glad your friend Sarah is fine.

Thank you for the post. I'll be checking out the auction to help out as well. I can't do anything to donate for auctioning, but I can certainly bid for one or two items.
What insane couple of years it has been in terms of natural disasters. It seems mother Nature is venting her frustration at our abuses. I mean, think about how many large earthquakes, tsunamis, and storms we've had since 2004 (Indian ocean tsunami, Katrina, earthquake in China, floods in Pakistan and Australia, earthquake in Chile and Haiti, earthquake and tsunami in Japan, just to name the ones I can remember....)
My thoughts and prayers are with the people of Joplin
I´m very sad to hear this - so tragic. :-(
this is so sad.
The unstable weather seems to go on and on. We had tornadoes in MN and WI, also. A storm and tornado just south of our town was a bit unsettling! Nice of you to make folks aware of relief efforts :)
This is a tragedy. Thanks for highlighting it.
Thanks for the link! Isn't that just terrible? I saw the pictures in the news - what a horrible destruction!
Jamie, thank you for your donation and your post! So helpful. :)
Such tragic news. Thanks for providing information on the auction.
