Friday I shared some before pictures from my master bed and bathroom and I've finally gotten around to taking some after shots. I, still haven't hung a single piece of art on the wall and the curtains haven't been hung, so I guess these aren't true after shots, but they are the best I have.
The carpet turned out great, it scared me at first because it was so much darker than what I had before, but after a day or two I'm loving it. I still have to deal with the two holes in my living room wall that the furniture movers left me with. I'm convinced there is no house project that can be done without something going wrong.
The walls are a blue/green/grey mix from Martha Stewart called Winter's Day. I've fallen so in love with this color I think I'm going to use it to freshen my living room. It comes off as a neutral, and changes in different light. The duvet is a rust/orange color and came from West Elm (no longer in stock.)

Ooooh I get to be the first to comment and say FABULOUS!! I love that wall color and can see why you fell in love with it. I think the darker rug is great and that greyish-blue pairs well with tweedy brown. Girl-you are going to rest so well in that space.

wow! - I used that very color on the walls of my den and I have never tired of it because of the very fact that it changes is different light. it's "serenity now" and I agree with Susan, you will undoubtedly rest well in this room. your color combos are tasteful, and very well done. What a wonderful job you're making of your house - I love the wall colour. And I love that really colourful cushion on the chair by the window. I think the carpet works well too. Thanks for the Flaming Lips track - it's one of my favs too.

Jamie, your taste and color sense are impeccable! I love the way you have combined subtle colors with punchy accents. The clean lines are striking, too! You must feel very satisfied and happy - time to curl up with your iPad in the chair by all the great light :)
LOVE it! So happy a room too! It really is amazing what new floor and a coat of paint can achieve but yes, remodeling always has some hidden surprises in store we are in week 3 of a 1 week remodeling of our bathroom!
I too don't like everything the Lips do but think this album is quite good-I like how well thought out it is too.

Looks awesome! Fresh and relaxing, but not boring. I really like the blue walls with the orange bedding and how the throw pillows pull them all together. The new rug is beautiful too! I bet you love spending time in there.
