St Maarten was the most tourist friendly placed we'd visited, you could see the central area of the Dutch side from the ship and it was a short ferry ride away. We hadn't done a lot of shopping yet, but in St Maarten we changed that quickly. I came away with a great dress/swimsuit cover up but managed to resist buying a $200 ring (and only a little part of me wishes I'd caved in.)
Everything was colorful and fun, just what you expect to see in the Caribbean Islands. I'd love to go back to St Maarten some day, if for no other reason to make it to the French side so I can compare the two.
I've been on the search for something new to listen to and discovered The Changing Colors, I think I've found a new love, here's their:

I love reading your cruise posts. It's like I"m taking a vacation!
I like these pics! :-)
Vacation is good at tricking you into thinking it's a good idea to spend money on things you normally wouldn't. Guess it's not all bad!
I love how vibrant the setting is! And that last photo is just awesome!
love this place! I would love to go there....maybe next time
Wonderful colours, it all looks really beautiful. Liz :)
i love these colorful building walls, looks like a great place for a shoot :) i bet that ring was cool, buy it next time!
How wonderful Jamie! I love all these colours - just what I need at the moment! :-)
Hope you are fine!
looks so fresh and bright. beautiful!
I'd love to go there someday!
The colours and wonderful Jamie - the shops especially look so interesting (albeit a little bit intimidating to the uninitiated!)
Sigh. I'd rather be there than in cold, rainy... Texas. It's not supposed to be cold and rainy in Texas.
How fun is that wall!
