This photo is a fail - an attempt at capturing the light coming in through a tunnel as a passenger in a car. The photo may be a fail - but it isn't a bad representation of how the last week has left me feeling.
Two Friday's ago I flew from Salt Lake to Tucson for a friend's birthday - and had an amazing time! Sunday I flew back to Salt Lake. Monday and Tuesday I flew from Salt Lake to Dallas and from Dallas to London and from London to Geneva. In Geneva I caught a train to Lausanne. On Wednesday, I got back on the train to Geneva and flew from Geneva to Istanbul.
I finally found the luggage I'd left here in Istanbul and got unpacked Thursday night. And then I spent the weekend exploring the city - and repacking. This morning (at the insane time of 5:50 AM) I'm getting on a plane to go from Istanbul to Amsterdam and then from Amsterdam to Glasgow. For anyone keeping track, that is well over 10,000 miles.
While, I'm very tired of airplanes and airports (and especially of packing.) I do see the light at the end of this travel tunnel - I get to spend a week in Glasgow. A new city and new country for me to explore (before I head back to Istanbul.)
Have you been here before? Any recommendations on what I should see or do? I have the entire day Saturday and most of Sunday before I leave to explore and if I'm lucky a bit of time an evening or two.
Here's a little Amy MacDonald, one of my favorite Scottish artists: This is the Life.

Oh Honey....sending hugs. All that travel sounds grueling and anything but sure to leave you exhausted and out of sorts.
I like the tunnel shot-kind of ghost like and likely that's all the energy you have left. Hope things settle down.
wow, you are really on the go! travel is not always as glamorous as it sounds, right? hang in there, enjoy glasgow, and try to take it all in (and get a little rest)
:)
The title of your post could not be more apt! Goodness, I can't imagine that much travel back to back! I hope you have time to enjoy Glasgow.
I don't see that photo as a fail. I think it's great, sort of mysterious and ghostly. Enjoy Glasgow - I haven't been there so can't really help with recommendations but they've been carrying out a lot of re-generation in recent years so there should be lots to see.
wow Jamie, that's really putting on the miles. I would be exhausted and unable to get out of bed. I admire your energy and spirit. and I really like the photo and don't view it as a failure at all. I hope you're able to catch your breath this week. Happy week to you Jamie. take good care now and be safe.
The pic is cool! Wow, you've had an intense time for sure! :-)
It does get tiring but you will enjoy Glasgow. It has much improved since it was elected European City of the year in 1990 (alas I had already left. Try to head for the Kelvingrove Museum and Charles Rennie Mackintosh is Scotland's famous architect and designer (a few buildings in Glasgow). If you are shopping Argyle Street and Sauchiehall Street are quite good. George Square in the city has some impressive buildings (the Clydesdale Bank is beautiful inside). Do try some haggis (a Scottish delicacy) and indulge in some beautiful tartans. Have fun, the Scots are exceedingly friendly. Liz xx
Whoa!
I like the image :). Very dreamy...
I love your energy and life! Enjoy, I can't wait to see pics.
Travel changes everything doesn't it! ❤
Great song btw!
Wow. I love travel, but I think that would do me in. Stay safe and enjoy.
xo
How do you keep "time" straight?
That picture totally represents your life last week wow. Great to see places but hah I don't know if I could figure out what time of the day it is let alone what day. Wow. Looking forward to your new city pictures though. Thanks again for sharing
Aww, honey that's a lot of traveling. Where I do envy you in a way - you get to see all the different countries and cultures - I can only imagine how hard it must be on you. But it'll be good memories for later, I'm sure. :)
I think this photo is awesome! I feel like I am traveling in high speed. I love the light!
