I'm also getting read to celebrate some birthdays next week - my mom's and my own (Happy Birthday MOM!) I'm not particularly happy about getting a year older, but I've made it a tradition over the last few years to take each birthday has a chance to spend some time reflecting on where I'm at and where I want to go in the next year.
This year I think I've learned that some of the very best things that have ever happened to me are the things I didn't plan, but because I was willing to take a leap into the unknown, changed my life for the better. I'm hoping this year will bring new adventures and challenges.

well, Happy Birthday to you and Mom! (i was born on my Mom's b-day) I love birthdays. Not that I normally do anything special. I'm just always happy that I've made it to another one, and look forward to what another year will bring. I totally agree, you simply have to be ready, with an open mind and heart for whatever life may send your way. I hope you have a fabulous weekend.

these are beautiful clouds. I think you should never stop reflecting, its always good to check in on yourself once and a while!
