Looking Forward

Clouds
It seems lately that by the time Friday rolls around I am beyond ready for the weekend, today is no different.  I'm hoping to spend some time chilling out and enjoying the beauty all around.

Clouds 2
I'm also getting read to celebrate some birthdays next week - my mom's and my own (Happy Birthday MOM!)  I'm not particularly happy about getting a year older, but I've made it a tradition over the last few years to take each birthday has a chance to spend some time reflecting on where I'm at and where I want to go in the next year.
This year I think I've learned that some of the very best things that have ever happened to me are the things I didn't plan, but because I was willing to take a leap into the unknown, changed my life for the better.  I'm hoping this year will bring new adventures and challenges.

Today, Alison Krauss's Gravity is feeling a bit like it was written for me.

Did you know we relaunched Inspiration Studio this week? We are working on a playlist full of the musical artists who inspire us to create. I'd love it if you'd hop on over here and share your favorites.

well, Happy Birthday to you and Mom! (i was born on my Mom's b-day) I love birthdays. Not that I normally do anything special. I'm just always happy that I've made it to another one, and look forward to what another year will bring. I totally agree, you simply have to be ready, with an open mind and heart for whatever life may send your way. I hope you have a fabulous weekend.

these are beautiful clouds. I think you should never stop reflecting, its always good to check in on yourself once and a while! I agree with you that sometimes the best things in life are those things that are unplanned.. fyi I discovered Jason Collett & Jose Rouse, two singers you might want to check out, good stuff!

Happy Birthday sweet girl. I so remember the excitement of your birth. The world has never been the same. You brought joy, love, happiness, laughter, insight, wisdom, perspective, courage, and excitement into the world with you and you share all these things with those you touch. Every year you are here makes the world a better place. Have a wonderful day and a joy filled year. (Oh, and your moms pretty cool too, I missed her birth by lots of years...don't tell her I said that, she hates it when I rub it in that she's the older sister! :-)...Happy Birthday to her also. ) xoxoxo P
