I seem to have lost my blogging mojo... I took a break so I could keep up at work, and then because I was on vacation and now I'm struggling to get back in the swing of things. What did you do the last time your mojo went missing?
If you've already seen the Hunger Games - don't rub it in. I finished the books two weeks ago so I'd be ready to see the movie - but just my luck I left for Istanbul a couple of days before it came out so I'm going to have to wait a month to see it. I have, however, managed to track down the soundtrack. It is full of some of my favorites, including this track from The Secret Sisters, Tomorrow Will be Kinder.

For me, the best thing is to keep posting and then I finally get the ideas I though were lost forever. :-) Oh, and keep reading other blogs - that works wonders for me as I get ideas from other ideas.
I don't know, I guess we all handle our mojo differently and it can be hard if one doesn't find the way that works. I hope it turns around - maybe spring will do it for you? :-)
Hi Jamie. I guess I could say I lost mine also.. part of that was caused by the fact that I didn't scrap for 5 weeks. I also felt like I had nothing to say (my husband wouldn't agree with that...haha). I rely on my GD to give me scrapping material; which she does. haha again. Take care and just sharing with us your readers that you are in a mojo funk is help.
I felt the same way once I came back from vacation, combined with the exhaustion of the first trimester of a new pregnancy.
Once I started getting some of my energy back, I didn't know what to write about anymore, especially since I don't have a lot of time to do tutorial posts (which I love to do).
I just began by sharing some of the other things I do: baking, life around me; then I forced myself to start doing quick sketches again and joining in on challenges like the sketchbook challenge and Illustration Friday. Then I have something to share. Twitter conversations have also led to some ideas lately, as has just taking pictures of anything I see.
Don't worry about your blogging mojo - it'll come back as long as you keep doing the things you love and looking at the world with fresh eyes.
Me too Jamie. Since I let up on taking so many photos to concentrate on stitching I've been very sporadic. Need to get my mojo back too!
i guess i just keep on going... looking for stories that i think might inspire others... it's so hard to get it going but if you stop getting back it's tough... maybe you can just blog a few pics here and there and slowly but surely ease back into it!
Mojo on slow. I guess you should just be kind to yourself. It will come back when it's ready. Blogs do disappear, they just sit and wait. Sometimes if I don't feel the urge to post, I'll just pop up a photo and a sentence or two-sort of like you did here with those beautiful flowers.
I remember when your photo taking mojo disappeared. Was it about this same time of year?-maybe a touch earlier in the season. Perhaps its a necessary break.
Glad you've made it safely back to Istanbul.
It will come back. Sometimes you just need a longer break then other times. You had a long and stressful time of it lasting the last job that cam really zap it out of you.
I think the trick to finding your mojo is to really enjoy the break from blogging and soon enough you'll have ideas busting their way out! I haven't lost my mojo but free time is my nemesis. :-) Lovely photo btw. The colors are subtle but gorgeous!
almost on the other side of the world and we see the same, it's not great?
Another GORGEOUS photo. I absolutely love the coloring and textures. I feel like I have lost my "creativity" mojo. Maybe if we hang in there together, we can get it back.
