I have some beautiful trees in my front yard - and I've put off having them trimmed back as long as I could, mostly because of this beauty that moved in this spring:
With fall coming, I can't put off trimming the trees any longer, but the birds have left the nest, so I think I'm safe. I have my fingers tightly crossed that they'll be back again next summer.

Ahhh good luck with the nest situation! What a pretty little bird!
What a beautiful tree - that bark is so lovely. And its little house guest is so cute. We have a garden surrounded by beech hedge and we also have to be very careful when we cut it because of birds' homes. Love the white tiger :-)
We have a birch tree in our front yard as well...the birds love it. Right now all the leaves are starting to turn yellow, which I think is beautiful!
I love it when birds nest in our yard. One year I was able to get some decent shots of the baby robins. Now we have a "real" bird house, and the nest is hidden from us. Nonetheless, we got the benefit of the beautiful songs the wrens sang this summer.
How fun to watch that! If anyone had told me when I was younger that I'd like birdwatching, I would have laughed out loud! But I truly love it now.
Very pretty... That's why I love trees... They bring such good things with them!
How fortunate you were to be able to watch this mama bird and her babies! I love to watch when they are learning to fly, and the mama is coaxing them out of the nest.
Have a beautiful day, Jamie!
xo.
Awe, what a cute little bird mama, watching out for her babies. So sweet and how nice of you to share your beautiful tree with them.
Thanks Jamie, for stopping by and leaving a comment on my Color affection shawl.
Hugs,
Karen
I have a tree right outside my window, and it's my favorite :)

Hi Jamie,
I'm with you on enjoying watching our winged and four legged neighbors. That last image is a gem! I bet they'll be back again next year :)
I hope she comes back to you again next year too. Glad you captured pictures of her!
Right where my heart is among the trees and leaves these day. Lovely Lovely
