A lot of little things seemed to catch my eye on this trip. It may be because I spent most of the trip as a commuter and didn't have a ton of time to play tourist and take in the sites. Here are a few of my favorite random day in the life shots:
I saw these bikes while I was waiting on the train in Friborg
I walked past this house every morning on my way to the bus stop.
This may be the most orderly woodpile I've ever seen
The houses/shops across for the bus stop where I switched lines each evening.
Mirrors at nearly every driveway.
Over the past 5 years I've spent so much time away from home, first in Brazil, then India and finally Kentucky, it felt like I was always experiencing a new place. Then as I settled in at home for 8 months (most of which was winter), I think I let myself get into a bit of a rut. It was nice to shake things up and feel inspired to look around again, now I just have to figure out how to keep the inspiration flowing at home.
This song came on as I was walking to my apartment on Friday - it was one of those songs I felt could have been written about me.
Holly Williams - Let Her Go
Let her go, let her go
Let her fall, let her fly
She wants to touch the whole world with her hands
One of those rare times YouTube has let me down, you'll just have to track it down on your own.
