One of the ladies in the office brought me a gardenia blossom today from a bush at her house. That single little flower that was already starting to brown around the edges filled my entire office with its lovely sent making the entire day better. It was proof to me of how the beauty of nature can make every day richer.
If I had any gardening skills at all - I'd start planting gardenia bushes everywhere.

Maybe if you had gardenia bushes in your house, you wouldn't smell the smoke? It's a thought...
The same thought crossed my mind Heidi- if I had any faith in my ability to keep a plant alive I'd give it a try. Instead I bought a fancy plug in air freshener today in hopes that can kill the smoke smell.
Where's your gardenia song? I hope you didn't get a flowery smelling air freshener! They never smell good.
I wonder if they grow in Utah.
Oh I know...if I knew anything about gardening I'd grow them, too! Beautiful!
I love the smell of fresh gardenias. When I lived in Hawaii we had one growing right next to our patio. Heavenly I tell you. You definitely should try and grow one!
