One night last week I kept waking up and smelling smoke - I'd get up and look through the house but couldn't figure out what I could be smelling. Still every little while I'd wake up and freak out a bit - and even when I was sleeping I kept having dreams with smoke in them.
It took a few days, but I finally figured out the source of my problem. Seems I have a new neighbor downstairs who is a heavy smoker - and every time he/she smokes it stinks up my place. I'm a bit bummed about it because I love having the windows open this time of year - but I can't stand to have them open if my place is going to get all smokey.
I know my neighbor has a right to smoke at their own house - I just wish I didn't have to live with their choice as well.
I love Iron & Wine - smokers not as much.

What a neat idea for a blog. I am musician myself - so I really appreciate your creativity in blogging! Also, thanks for the Iron and Wine tune - never heard of them before.
Ugh! That stinks!
Literally stinks...
Sorry I think thats stinks to!
I am so sorry, Jam! I couldn't do it...I'd have to move. I hope it's not too bad for you :(
Ugh! Thats terrible
Ugh! I agree with everyone...that just stinks!
Grrrrrr...nothing more irritating than living with smelly clothes & polluted air because of someone else's choices. Grrrrrrr again.
i'm sorry about that smoke. our neighbor downstairs got a boyfriend who smokes when she's not home, usually during the day. i would smell the smoke and close the windows. this year, i moved our computer to a different room and haven't noticed it, yet. this may sound weird, but maybe you can open the windows from the top down and not notice it so much?
Too bad you didn't know about that before you moved in. I love having my windows open. If you can smell it that strong just think what their house smells like. I couldn't imagine living like they do.
