After last week's music week, I thought I'd set aside one day each month to highlight some great music you can pick up on the cheap. Each month amazon.com has a list of about 100 albums you can download for $5, I usually want to buy everything, but maybe sharing my wish list will help me control myself.
Those I already own and can vouch for:
Those I purchased this month and LOVE (especially Tift Merritt):
On my wish list:
Looking for something even cheaper than $5? Check out your local library. I discovered this week that my library has an AMAZING music collection, I've got a great list on hold, that I'm waiting to hear.
If only I didn't have to wait for the 100 other people ahead of me on the list for the new Kings of Leon.
Have you found any great deals on music lately? What song or album have you picked up lately you can recommend to the rest of us?

Girl, I love Amazon. I'm on there once a week downloading some really fantastic freebies. Honestly, nothing compares to amazon when it comes to buying music. No one can touch $5 a pop. It's my guilty pleasure that I, thankfully, don't have to give up. Great post.
oh thank you for the shares! can't wait to check them out!! :)
what a great selection, I will try and see what is on amazon uk
Corinne Bailey Rae's album "the Sea" - fantastic, not a bargain because it is new, but it is a listener and keeper for sure!
tift merritt has such a great voice!
this is interesting =) i guess it would be good to visit my library sometime, which by the way i've only been to once. the last music that i've purchased is a The Smiths 7-inch record for my husband and an iTunes purchase of Imogen Heap/Frou Frou's Speak for Yourself and Details albums for me =) I love the songs in it, some upbeat, some happy, entertaining... I recommend It's Good to be in Love, Let Go, Hide and Seek, Just for Now. She is very talented, I've listened to her songs when she was still using Frou Frou. I like Kings of Leon too, love your song ♥
Thanks for this. Am gonna have to check-out the Amazon great deals!!!
I'm always making soundtracks of my life. Nice to meet you.
That new Arcade Fire is such a great album...and I LOVE the Bebel Gilberto...anything she does makes me swoon, so beautiful. Great pics!
