Still Lucky!

This photo has nothing to do with this post, but she's so cute, I just couldn't resist.

You know that luck I talked about last week?  I'm happy to say it has continued - except at the horse track and looking back, my bad luck there may actually be lucky because I now have no desire to bet on the ponies again.

I got an amazing parking spot on a Friday evening at Gardner Village during their October festival (those of you from the SLC area know that took AMAZING luck.)  Then, this weekend I discovered I won another blog giveaway, a Simply Deliteful Cookbook, over at Caitlin Wilson's Design Blog.  I hope the emphasis is on the simple part of the book and it will improve my non-existent cooking skills.  But the best luck of all came in the form of a shiny new Kindle as a going away gift from my friends in Kentucky.

If any of you have advice on cases for the Kindle or any other tips or tricks please send them my way.  I've had the Kindle app on my iTouch for a long time, but I'm excited to see how the actual Kindle works.

The last bit of luck was discovering this lovely song while my iPod was on shuffle this morning.  I'm sure I've heard it before but it reached out and grabbed me this morning while I was getting ready for the day.

I love what you've done with the photo - I looked at it again tonight and thought maybe I'd overdone it (it happens). I also love the Weepies. LOVE.

I love the photo and love that its there "just because". Congrats on all the luck your having - nice! Hmm as far as Kindle cases i think there are handmade ones on etsy! I haven't been able to go that route yet, of getting a Kindle but I look forward to hearing how you like using it ♥

You'll have to talk to Debbie Miller. She has one and I am very envious of you both! What a great pic of miss M. She's a beauty!

I've had a Kindle for about two months and love it. It's the absolute best for reading on an airplane (easy to hold, no pages to turn) and on a treadmill (you can adjust the size of the type very easily). I bought the Amazon Kindle case and like it very much. It doesn't add much bulk, but I loved the bright colors it came in and I like the elastic strap that keeps it closed. No need to purchase the expensive light for the Kindle. I use my little $9 book light. That's also great on the Kindle because you don't have to move it to get to the next page. It's very easy to use. The instructions that come with it are very clear, and I think there's a good little video on Amazon. Enjoy!
