I'm still in Lausanne and thought I'd share the giant jack-o-lantern I came across on my weekend wanderings. Want proof it is enormous - check out the photo below - it is the size of a CAR. It was across the way from a club - so I'm guessing they held some sort of costume party over the weekend. It's been years since I dressed up, but I'm hoping for a little FaceTime chat with my niece and nephew so I can see their costumes. One thing I'm not missing is all the left over candy, which I promise myself I won't eat...and then I do.
How are you celebrating Halloween this year?

That sure was a gigantic pumpkin! :-D
We´re not that big on celebrating Halloween in Sweden, but my boys got scary masks from their grandmother so they´ve had fun with those. :-)
That pumpkin is so cute... but I can see how it would look scary to my kids.
Back in Switzerland again? (I've been out of the loop for a while!) Lucky you!
The ginormous jack o'lantern is great, I love the photo with the car in it for perspective. It's very shiny - could you tell what it was made of?
This is our first Halloween living in town, and we're wondering if we'll have trick-or-treaters. (I've never lived anywhere as an adult that had trick-or-treaters!) It's supposed to be a warm, pretty day, but start to rain and snow by 8pm so the little ghosts and goblins will need to hustle!
Enjoy your stay in Switzerland and Happy Halloween!
Wow!! That is one huge pumpkin. I am taking the kiddos trick or treating today and can't wait to steal their butterfingers!!! LOL. Happy Halloween!
LOVE that pumpkin!
wow just read that you are in Istanbul, you do lead an exciting life! great pumpkin
ok that is really cool. who wouldn't want that for a decoration??
How gorgeous! I was guessing that maybe you where back in the country of good chocolate and cheese when you wrote you were near me :-) Enjoy your stay! And Happy Swiss Halloween!
that's a big jack o lantern! no halloween celebration for me. just meeting clients then working on a shoot :)
Ok, that takes the largest pumpkin prize! Every year I buy candy (big mistake), just incase some kids come by. But, when one lives out in the woods, that never seems to happen. So...we eat the candy and get fat.
Happy Halloween to you! Please make sure you eat some of that delicious Swiss chocolate!
Happy Halloween, Jamie! Not doing much this year to celebrate, just handing out candy (and hoping there's nothing leftover!)
Lausanne - last time I was there was for the World Figure Skating championships. Long time ago now.
Not doing much here either. it is not a real celebration in the UK, other than stray kids coming through the village streets from tine to time.
Not much celebrating here. Even the trick-or-treaters were few and far between tonight.
the kids were out yesterday but it started to rain so that put a damper on the trick or treaters this year. I have candy left over but I'm giving it away - I will no eat it. oh...maybe the strawberry licorice! that is one ginormous pumpkin you've found there. Put some wheels on it and it's a bit like the pumpkin carriage from Cinderella! Happy Halloween Jamie.
Wow, that is a big pumpkin. :) just caught up on where you're headed. Exciting! Safe travels and I can't wait to hear about it!
That is one large pumpkin!
I spent the day counseling people on their medications dressed as a clown. (The rest of my co-workers were other circus people.) It was entertaining!
I would hate to be the person who has to pull the guts out of that one. That's a giant pumpkin. Is it just hanging out on the street?
I hope you had a fun Halloween!
now that's a big pumpkin!
Haha, Lausanne is such a lovely place! Even during Halloween, I guess?
no big celebration but that pumpkin is great!
