It's time for another Pinterest Challenge - and I'll admit, I'm cheating a bit this round. I'm out of town for a while, so I'm going to share a couple of projects I finished before I left - the first challenge had me so pumped up on projects I just couldn't stop. First up, my ombre dresser:

This was such a simple way to give a fun splash of color to some very boring nightstands.Next up - and even easier, a towel rack necklace holder.

The necklace holder came together when I ran across the two towel bars for $2 in the As-Is area of Ikea - don't you love it when you find exactly what you need for next to nothing?I love that my necklaces are easy to see - it means they get worn more often.
I listened to Priscillia Ahn's new album while I painted - the whole thing is great, but this track is a favorite: I Don't Have Time to Be In Love Pin It

That necklace holder is a great idea! My system currently is a bunch of hooks screwed onto the side wall of my closet. This is MUCH better. I'm going to try it.
I like that necklace holder! Very clever.
And who doesn't love an ombre dresser??
Ms. Ahn is one of my favs.
What a great idea for the necklaces. I'm a creature of habit and rarely change what hangs around my neck, but if I did, I'd sure be up for that display.
I can't wait to see the night stands! you did a great job....I am holding you to your offer of painting next spring!
What gorgeous ideas and gorgeous how you did it! You are a DIY talent, Jamie!

Love it! I just bought the same hook and bar from Ikea! What are the odds!

So cool! I love the projects you picked. They turned out great.
Gotta love Pintrest...and blogging. Without them I'm afraid I'd have no creative juice whatsoever.
