I'm sharing my favorite songs discovered in 2010 - 6 songs a day - I'll post the entire set in a YouTube playlist on December 31.
Retribution Gospel Choir - Hide it Away
"You think you have what you own."
Love the band name and love this song.
Runar Eff - Take on Me
"Slowly learning that life is okay."
Heard this one playing in the background of a TV show and had to track it down. I was a huge fan of the original back in the day - but I think I love this one even more.
Ryan Bingham - Country Roads
"Might have took a few wrong turns, down a few wrong roads."
Ryan Bingham has become a huge favorite of mine this year - mostly for songs like this that make me want to set off on an epic road trip.
Sara Bareilles - King of Anything
"I'm not the one who's lost with no direction."
Sara does no wrong in my book. This is one of those songs I find myself singing at the top of my lungs as I drive down the road. If I had put this list together this week - King of Anything may have been replaced by her "Let the Rain."
Sarah Sample - Everytime I Go
"My stomach in the sky, my heart a battle cry."
An up and comer - such a great song. For someone who spends too much time traveling and away from the people I love, this song really hit home for me.
Savoir Adore - The Garden
Great melody, harmonies and oh, so beautiful.
