I've been remodeling a room off my garage to serve as a home office. While I've still got a way to go before it is complete, last week it was far enough along I started working from there (working from there is a great way to keep me away from the kitchen and the associated calories during the day.)
The biggest benefit of the office is an enormous window that I put my desk in front of. The view from this window is incredible - in fact the view from the back of this house is probably the reason I bought the house in the first place.
One day last week I found myself fascinated all morning watching the clouds roll in and swirl around the mountains. At times the clouds sat below the mountain peaks, but over time they swirled up to meet the sky. It was beautiful and distracting. I feel so blessed to live in such an amazing place.
I heard this song on NPR last week. Isn't it just moody and perfect for watching the clouds roll in?

Gorgeous pictures! I love clouds and we have wonderful ones here in Florida too.
What an incredible view. Lucky!
Jamie if you were listening to that music while watching the clouds roll in then I say: what a smorgasbord for the senses. I love the sweat on his brow...
so beautiful! I miss those gorgeous mountains, thanks for sharing :)
I'm not sure I would get any work done at all with that stunning view before me! Your photographs are amazing Jamie! :)
Oh, wow...that's absolutely stunning; what a view! I agree with Laura that it would be hard to do any work with a view like that in front of me!
Those clouds are gorgeous!! I would love a window like that. I bet you were really working, in the back of your mind, while you watched the clouds. Even if you didn't know it.
Stunning photos of your view, how amazing is that, to look out out of your window and see mountains? Perfect! x
Those mountains are stunning Jamie. Not sure if I'd work that much if I had a desk looking out over that view. Think I'd be tempted just to dream away the day watching the light change as the clouds roll in
Thanks for sharing these shots. So close to the ocean, I don't see this type of view. Gorgeous. How can you concentrate on work? I do think the song pairs very nicely.
WOW! What a view!! I'm not sure I'd get any work done with a view like that!!!
that view is so amazing. so different from what i see out my windows. great shots!!
you have such a gorgeous view and we are lucky to see it through your wonderful photos. love the mood!
Wow Jamie, how incredibly distracting this wonderful window would be. :) Love your view! However, I do find that when I'm at our cabin surrounded by nature that I get twice the amount of work done as I do back in the city. Must be the calm atmosphere of the gorgeous landscape God has provided us with.
Be blessed my friend, and now get to work. ;)
Gretchen

Sorry I've been so absent, I just had a crazy computer-less w/e :) Hope you are doing well!!
Jamie - This view is a dream come true. Talk about inspiration? How very lucky for you to have this!
I love these gorgeous pictures! I only get to look at a highway and a hospital, so consider yourself lucky.
So jealous! This is gorgeous! I'd love to be sitting where you were at that time! Love to see things like that..the simple and enjoyable things :)
WOW - these are truly beautiful. Amazing!
I can't even imagine getting ONE thing done with a view like yours. I sure do love those mountains and even on a clouyd cold day they look beautiful!!
It's beautiful to see how they roll in, well done Jamie.
