This week I turned my cooking experiments to holiday treats and tackled a recipe I'd seen online at One Charming Party - Chocolate Carmel Marshmallows. While mine didn't turn out nearly as beautiful as the pictures online, they are pretty tasty.
What are you doing for neighbor gifts this year? Or do you do neighbor gifts where you live? I know I didn't when I lived in Texas, Washington or Kentucky - of course they could have been because I lived in places where you didn't get to know your neighbors well.
While I made my treats this year I listened the the Holiday Mix we put together at I-Studio last week. It's been on heavy repeat at my house.

those look di-vine!
Roll them in rice krispies!
These are a staple for me.
Mmm...yummy! And I'm going to be coming back here to play those Christmas songs on Saturday when I get some time to play Santa!
I visited One Charming Party and the photos there are gorgeous! I'm giving my neighbors jars of homemade salsa this year. It's easier than baking - if I bake, I end up eating it so I try to avoid that.
I've only heard the Joni Mitchell version of River; this one is lovely.
thanks for sharing.
Kudos to you for making the carmel marshmallows. It's fun to try new things. I might have to do this with the kids while they are Christmas break.
Those are a few of my favorite things! :) YUM.
Looks oh so yummy!!
Have a wonderful weekend Jamie!
Oh gosh, these look luscious- I've never seen/tasted anything like them.
Like the track too, but I still prefer Joni's version :)
We don't tend to give gifts to our neighbours although everyone gets a card in their letterbox but if we go visiting it's nice to take some homemade treats.
Happy weekend!
I bet not vegan, darn it, but yum!
I'll have to try that recipe. We don't exchange with our neighbors; don't even know some of them; sadly.
You cook really great stuff.
Love this Sarah version-heard Joni's the other day, but prefer this. Such lovely images this song brings to mind.
Every Christmas Eve, my mother makes haystacks which are marshmallows covered in caramel and Rice Krispies. They are di-vine.
Have you heard of Zee Avi? I'm completely infatuated with her voice at the moment:)
