Giveaway: End of the Long Winter

Winter

I've discovered some amazing music as I've searched for ways to brighten my dreary days this winter.  These songs have taken me away, kept me warm and helped me dream.  Now that Spring is starting to break through, I think it is time I share some of my favorites.

Here's how this little giveaway is going to work.  Comment and share at least one awesome song you've discovered in 2011 by the end of the day Monday, April 11 (the day I'll be doing my civic duty and serving on a jury.)  You can double your chances of winning by adding a second comment if you are a follower.  I'll use random.org to pick a winner, which I will post on Wednesday.

I haven't narrowed down the mix completely yet, but I have a feeling it will start with this song:

I have really been liking Little Lion Man by Mumford & Son. Also I think Dog Days are Over by Florence & the Machine is great!

I'm going to say "Down by the Water" by the Decemberists - it's a catchy song if you like that sort of adult alternative music.

I discover all my new music here, through you Jamie! and you've never let me down. I'm not into ownership anymore, so this is the most perfect arrangement for me. thanks for all the inspiration, and I hope your weekend is big fun.

You know I would enter this one--getting the chance to listen to new music is right up my alley! I can tell you right now, I have been listening to Johnny Cash all weekend with a little Smith Westerns sprinkled in (quite the contrast let me assure you) :)

OH yay! One of my favorite songs I discovered this year is Starlight by Slash featuring Myles Kennedy. My husband had it on his playlist and I just found myself singing it in my head all the time. Finally just added it to mine and find myself giddy when it pops up.
