New Experiences

If, like me, you like to spend time pouring over home decor blogs, you've no doubt seen La Dolce Vita.  Such a beautiful blog, I found so many house dreams there, if only I had unlimited time and money.  In addition to lovely home decor there is a weekly quote that almost always brightens my day.  A few weeks ago a quote by Lawrence K. Fish was featured:

Find life experiences and swallow them whole.
Travel.
Meet many people.
Go down some dead ends and explore dark alleys.
Try everything.
Exhaust yourself in the glorious pursuit of life.

Isn't it gorgeous advice, imagine if we lived every day this way?

I picked up a new album on iTunes last week from a fellow Utah girl - Mindy Gledhill.  I'm loving it.

A brilliant quote!
Love the song and video although the little girl was making me feel dizzy with her twirling!

Yes, wonderful quote. Great advice. There is no better way to broaden horizons like travel. As I get older I do my best to greet each day with an open mind and an open heart to what the universe may have in store for me.
Love the music & video also. Makes me wish I'd had at least one daughter, how delightful girl babies must be. I loved every minute of raising my sons, but they were not the twirling types. :)

Perfect quote! And now I'm going to check out that site (because I need one more blog in my reader? LOL!).
Cool song. That little girl is adorable but omg she made me dizzy :)

Dear Jamie,

Firstly, I love how much you love music. What a great title for your blog. Every time I come, it strikes me in a most pleasant way.

Okay, otherwise, your niece is so adorable! Wow, that you got her to talk to you - precious! I appreciate your words on your "shapely" post! Most wonderfully, right now, my husband is up reading "The Lord of the Rings" to my boys - actually, they're on the second book. I heard that same poem a couple of weeks ago and it kind of stood out to me, too. Neato!

Love, Katy Noelle
