This week's prompt quickly made me think of children or delicate flowers or lace but I wanted something a bit different.  So I began thinking about the first half of the definition - heavenly or celestial, which then took me to my amazing weekend in Thailand and the temples that literally covered Chiang Mai.

One of my favorites was this crumbling ruin, which is pretty much the opposite of anything delicate or dainty, and yet it was built with heavenly thoughts in mind.  It was built thousands of years ago and still stands (at least in part.)  In this very sold structure prayers and meditations were sent up for thousands of years.

Oh, I completely agree. She sings like an angel. I have always wondered if she could sing loudly. She has such a soft voice. :)

Alison Krauss definitely does have a heavenly voice that is for sure and the temple looks lovely too.

Love the different take on "ethereal", and very glad for the explanation. Lovely photo, and as echoed above, well paired with Krauss. Thank you!

Another beautiful photo and one of my favorite artists! I've seen Alison Krauss twice in the last few years and they were both great concerts.

seeing the scale of the temple in relation to the buildings on either side really gives you a sense of its size. incredible and love alison with union station.
